Blackberry service to one of the two phones on a nextel family plan?

We have a nextel family service plan that does not include any data, internet, etc. I want to buy a blackberry (world 8330 model) on ebay and use it to replace the I830 that I currently have. I am understanding that I would have to buy a blackberry service data plan to use it, but can I add it onto what I have for the one line and not change my plan to a family data plan?

no u cannot add the blackberry and not get a data plan. if u have a blackberry u are required to have a blackberry data plan. u may have to change the entire family plan to one that includes data or u maybe able to just get an add on package.. an add on will run u abt 40$ so ur best bet will likely be to add the data to both ur phones. u may also want to look into having 2 separate plans for the phones and see if that will be cheaper for u based on min usage of each person. u can change ur plan with no contract penalty..
