Which is the VoIP gateway to get the best voice quality?
Is it Linksys/Grandstream/Audiocodes/..etc…?
I use the Linksys SPA2102-NA VoIP ATA (Analog Telephone adapter). There are three reasons I like this model.
1. It has a built-in Nat-Router.
2. It has built-in QOS, which gives VoIP priority over other local network traffic.
3. Select between high bandwidth (G.711u) and low-bandwidth Codecs (G.729a).
When its QOS is configured correctly, I find that the SPA2102-NA has very good voice quality. You will get best results when the ATA is directly connected to the Internet Modem and not after another Router between the Modem and the ATA.
I configure it with BYOD (bring your own device) VoIP carriers like CallCentric, Les.net, or InPhonex. CallCentric is currently my primary VoIP carrier and has very good voice quality with the Linksys SPA2102-NA ATA.

Cisco SPA3102 Voice Gateway with Router $64.99 The Cisco SPA3102 Phone Adapter with Router features the ability to connect standard telephones and fax machines to an IP-based data network, with the additional benefit of an integrated connection for legacy telephone network hop-on, hop-off applications. SPA3102 users will be able to extend the use of their broadband phone service by automatically routing local calls from mobile phones and landlines to voice over IP (VoIP) service providers, and vice versa. If power is lost to the unit or Internet service is down, calls can be redirected to a traditional carrier via the FXO interface. A user calling from a mobile phone or landline will be able to reduce and even eliminate international and long-distance telephone charges by first calling the Cisco SPA3102 via a local telephone number. The advanced authentication and call-routing intelligence programmed into the SPA3102 will route the call via the Internet to the end destination.
